More tree stories

On a cold Autumn day last week, we came across this beautiful, gnarly old tree which reminded me of an African Baobab. Its branches also look like roots; as if some giant had uprooted it and turned it upside down.

I think it's a Horse Chestnut.

Take a close look and you'll see that it has grass growing in the flat space beneath its branches. Perfect for dreaming on hot Summer days. I'd have loved this as a child.
